Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Statement
1. Our Position
Strat-Bridge is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its business.
We aim to ensure that all individuals are treated fairly and with respect, and that decisions relating to recruitment, engagement and progression are based on merit, capability and business need.
Strat-Bridge operates a zero tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
This statement reflects our commitment to complying with applicable UK laws and regulations, including the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. It summarises, for clients, candidates and other parties we work with, the standards set out in our internal Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy.
2. Legal Framework
Under the Equality Act 2010, it is unlawful to discriminate against individuals on the basis of protected characteristics, including:
- age
- disability
- gender reassignment
- marriage and civil partnership
- pregnancy and maternity
- race
- religion or belief
- sex
- sexual orientation
The Act also recognises direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation. All individuals working for or on behalf of Strat-Bridge must comply with these requirements in the course of their work.
3. Our Commitment
Strat-Bridge is committed to:
- providing equal opportunities for all individuals
- creating a working environment that is inclusive and respectful
- ensuring that no individual is treated less favourably on the basis of protected characteristics
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation in any form. These principles apply to all aspects of our operations and underpin how we interact with clients, candidates and business partners.
4. How This Applies to Our Search Work
As an executive search business, the most significant way we influence outcomes is through the searches we run on behalf of clients.
We are committed to ensuring that:
- roles are assessed and filled in a fair and transparent manner
- candidates are evaluated on skills, experience and suitability for the role
- market mapping and longlisting are conducted on an objective basis
- shortlists are presented on merit, with selection decisions free from bias or discrimination
Strat-Bridge will not accept or act on instructions from clients that are discriminatory or unlawful. Where a brief or client request raises concerns, it will be escalated internally and will not proceed without appropriate review.
We expect the clients we work with to uphold appropriate standards in their own hiring practices.
5. Reasonable Adjustments
We will make reasonable adjustments where appropriate, particularly in relation to disability.
Candidates who require an adjustment at any stage of a search process are encouraged to let us know so that suitable arrangements can be made. Requests will be handled confidentially and will not disadvantage a candidate’s application.
6. Raising Concerns
Any concerns relating to discrimination, harassment or victimisation should be raised promptly.
Clients, candidates and other external parties may raise concerns through our Complaints Procedure.
Concerns will be handled sensitively and reviewed fairly. No individual will be disadvantaged as a result of raising a concern in good faith.
7. Review
We review our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion periodically and update our practices where appropriate.
