CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE
What happens to your information
The short version, for anyone we have approached about a role or who is in one of our processes. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, linked below.
THE SHORT VERSION
- Your CV goes to a named firm only after you have approved that firm, for that mandate. An approval for one client never carries over to another.
- We will not tell your current firm you are talking to us, we will not contact anyone there about you, and we will not take a reference from them, until you tell us to.
- What you tell us in confidence stays with us. Your reasons for looking, your view of your current firm and your pay expectations are not passed on unless you want them to be.
- We do not hold or pass on anything about your health, background or personal circumstances.
- We approach you. We do not run a candidate database anyone can browse, and we never sell or syndicate candidate data.
- Tell us to stop and we stop. It costs you nothing and affects nothing else.
Who we are
Strat-Bridge Ltd is an executive search firm based in London, working with strategy consulting firms on Partner, Principal and Director appointments across the UK, Germany, Switzerland and the wider Europe and USA regions. For the information we hold on you, we are the data controller. Once we submit you and a client has your CV, that firm is responsible for its own use of it under its own privacy notice.
Where we found you
Most people we contact have not applied to us. We identify potential candidates from public professional sources – LinkedIn, firm websites, published partner announcements, conference programmes and industry press – and from referrals and our own records. Where we found you from a public source rather than from you directly, the law requires us to tell you what we hold at the latest when we first make contact, which is why our first message links here.
The detail
What we collect, why we are allowed to hold it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, where it sits, your rights and how to complain are all set out in full in our Privacy Policy. That document governs; this page is the plain-English summary of the parts candidates ask about most.
How we actually work with candidates – what a first conversation looks like, what we do and do not send a client, and what happens at each stage – is on our Candidates page.
If something is wrong
Tell us. Our Complaints Procedure sets out how we handle it and how quickly. You can also go straight to a regulator without coming to us first – the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, your federal state authority or the BfDI in Germany, or the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland.
The one thing we cannot promise
Everything above is a promise we control and intend to keep. There is a narrow set of situations where the law takes the decision out of our hands – a court order, a demand we are legally required to answer, preventing fraud, protecting someone from serious harm, or defending a legal claim. In any of those we would give only what we were required to give.
